you should put the warning sticker under the hood. it makes more sense because random people don't need to know that putting the battery back on may cause it to start. also it looks dumb

I got a remote start to Xmas I can't wait to get it installed. I have been wanting one for a long time

@Ishmelthemagnet If it's a passive sensor it can be triggered by wind blowing through gaps in the doors etc - if you're worried about this get an active sensor. As for your car being parked on the street it probably is a bad idea to have a proximity sensor, unless you reduce the range of the sensor to the point where some of your car (i.e. the corners) won't be covered, as the range of the proximity sensor tends to be egg-shaped or oval. To just warn people who touch the car, get a dual system.

i would have hid the valet button and or switch . if they were to get in and ger the key switch to turn on they can disable the alarm all together always hide the valet button or switch

I was told a proximity sesonsor makes nosense because am parked on a street although its not a large number of ppl walking there they are ppl that might end up to close to the car could you get the sensor to warn only if they touch and can wind also trigger the alarm?

Paul how did you pick up the running signal. Although my autostart works the engine starter motor keeps trying to start as running signal not found.
My Alarm indicates high coil and alram cable to be wrapped around.

@954cityofdahood I believe there is an adjustment screw on the sensor it self which is normally in side the door panel of the vehicle.

@Jackcc5 you do know you can adjust the shock sensor to very sensitive to little

Hi, do you remember the brand of your proximity sensor ? I saw that it works very good. I never saw one, but I read that they are designed to be used in convertible cars. But yours is great.

in my opinion i hate shock sensors they are too sensitive if like a motor bike goes passed a loud one or a car with a big more exorcist it will set your car alarm off because of all the vibration. so i think glass break is the best it has less false alerts.

glass break sensors are fine if you don't mind getting your window smashed in before the bad guy runs away! With my proximity sensor, the bad guy gets warned away just as he touches the vehicle! NO DAMAGE DONE!
