@mauriciomille "Brindisi" is the Italian word for "drinking song". "libiamo ne'lieti calici" is part of the first line of the aria meaning "Let's drink from this merry chalice!".

She trills and without taking a breathe she holds the higher tone. WHO ELSE? 99% of singers would need to take a breath after a trill!

One of the best ever cast for this opera. Not really a fan of Sutherland but I can't deny that this was a vocal phenomenon.
