Matt B and Antwan S show you hot to make a MOT train PSU with 3 old microwave oven transfomers, the primary was left alone but the secondary was tooken out with a automotive hammer and replace with 3 turns of 4 gauge car amp power cable, about 3000 amp at 2 volts

  • Shouldn't have cut the tranny's like that, the weld can short out the laminations, they're insulated from each other, to prevent Eddy Currents from overloading the primary and it can get hot

  • @HDXFH - oh, i ident know that, next timei wont cut and weld them back together, thanks for the tip, when i run it for a while it gets a bit hot, so i guess i know why now, thanks

  • @mrmatt2525able yeah lol its a pain to take all the laminations out and rewind the transformer, but its worth it in the end ;)
