Nothin' like a lil' Diana Ross to spice up a capsizing!
-
@lulu8332 It's the difference between doing a controlled test on a boat in a calm harbour , and a capsize in a storm out at sea . - I am guessing , but I think maybe your boat part flooded , or something heavy inside fell down to land on the inside of the roof , that MIGHT keep her inverted . The engines shearing off their mountings would do it , or maybe fuel tanks tearing loose .
Bad for a lifeboat to do that though ..... .
-
@dumbcup That has to be one of the most STUPID remarks I have seen on here yet .
Stick to Farming lovey , do .

all boats should be able to do this then we might not loose so many people at sea,, i know its not cheap whats a life worth /???

DO A BARREL ROLL!

I remember that there was a craft simelar to this in danmark i the 80 they were also making test like this and it passed it then 1 year later they came out in a storm one a rescue mission and the boat capsized and did not right herself. all 5 crewmembers died but the boat stayed afloat : it was still uppsidedown when they pulled her in to harbour whit 5 dead sailors inside

Radar is 100% okay.

Absolutely it is fitted with a mercury switch that stops the scanner rotating as it goes over 90 degrees

Looks like Radar scanner Kaput now

No there is a mercury switch fitted to the radar to shut off the scanner so as not to foul any rope or whatever and prevent the self righting. Also the engine controls are brought back to neutral to prevent boat going away on it's own in the event of all crew being tossed into the sea!

Are the engines dry-sumped to cope with the possibility of turning right over?
theberengersniper 2 years ago
no but the capsize is over in 7 seconds
