I think this was an excellent movie that suffered more from Shyamalan's reputation than it did from its own elements. If this had been the first of his movies as opposed to 6th sense, I feel like it would have been received so much more positively.

Trust. Can only be accomplished by belief and true love. Ivy's 'blind' character loved and trusted Lucius so much, she never doubted him in this distressed scene. She knew he would never let harm come to her, despite the rest of the families 'doubt'. Powerful.

The music is so beautiful in this scene! I can understand why people were a bit disappointed, to say the least, by this movie. However, I really enjoyed everything about it as an overall experience.
