I was at the Butch Harmon School recently and I'm modeling my swing after this guy. The big arc gives him a ton of power. Notice his hands forward of his body right after impact. Harmon teaches this and it keeps the club square longer and it's helped my swing keeping my misses closer to the target. Look at Adam Scott's swing also. Same teacher (Harmon) and a similar release. I watched both of their lesson videos at Harmon School.
That's not a real short swing...when his driver shaft is short of parallel like Nick's is, it reminds me of Tiger's backswing circa 1998 when he was in his rebuilding phase with Butch Harmon...
