  • @mokadesx Really love this comment - brings a smile to my face every time I read it!! Thanks for posting the piece. I still much prefer the Band of Gypsies version, but each to their own.

  • We used to sing, "Traveling on speed, I'm a reefer man." lol

  • I'm a Hendrix freek. And as I look at Jimi's picture, what his dad feels when he sees his sons face once again. Knowing he's gone, but to us fans, he is still VERY MUCH ALIVE. Jimi is, THE MAN.

  • hendrix plays the best version of this live at woodstock where he plays a smashing performance

  • Great version on Crash Landing, except Alan Douglas, the producer, "lost" a good chunk of it, according to Janie Hendrix. Experience Hendrix finally got it back and the COMPLETE version of the take is on their Experience box set (with the purple velvet cover). Why he cut out that part is a mystery because the restored version is awesome.

  • @Sunwatch2012 and both musicians had the most utmost respect and admiration infact hendrix asked whether he could meet clapton when chas chandler took him to england

  • @Sunwatch2012 i totally agree wuth most of that

but clapton is a true bluesmen hendrix was more of a crazy psychodelic bad ass funk machine that could blitz any music he wanted to play including blues

  • @ZeppelinFan6980 When he arrived in the UK, he turned the music scene on its head. Even his peers admired him. The press described him as a black Elvis. He was fresh and new and the British kids loved him for it. Most from that era cant remember where they were when Kennedy died, but his fans can remember where they were when Jimi died. He was light years ahead of everybody else, a unique talent thats without equal, even today.

  • @bluelibra65 Amen man. People tell me why are you so obsessed with his music...I tell them listening to Jimi...it isn't just music, but its a lifestyle and philosiphy..It changes your whole outlook on life..

Then they look at me like a freak.

But thats ok, I'd rather be a freak with good taste in sounds than have to listen to some of the ish nowdays haha...

    Peace man.
