some years ago i bought a 11watt solar panel to play with and wanted a battery basically to dump the charge into until i could afford leisure batteries to run a small inverter off,and asked the garage i use for an old one that when i metered it out showed around10.5VDC which is supposed to be unrecoverable.I connected the solar panel to the battery and left it for about 6 months and when i rechecked the voltage it had gone up to 12.9VDC and i used this and other batteries i had begged for 4 year

Batterys have lead plates and other metals materials and chemicals in them that eventually dissolve or are broken down.....when it dies it dies.

I cannot find anywhere on the internet, where it tells you if you should flush the old battery out, or use the same solution, or what flushing chemicals to be used!!1 can some one help me?

I use a capacitor, diode and a mosfat to negatively chrge mine. Then when the charger goes on, is goes backwark ( negative) and then up to the normal positive voltage and keeps the charge.and the parts are from old electronic boards. All free.
