As I recall,interest in the Cape Breton Oilers had waned after this Calder Cup win.It was easier to get a ticket on game nights after that,I remember.When they built the Casino adjacent to Centre 200 in 1995,that didn't help either because going to the Oiler games were no longer the best entertainment option in Sydney.

Bill Mcdougall is the best player ever.I remember him for the Erie Panthers.I have been following hockey since 1976 and Bill is the best player that I have ever seen play.I Know he had a couple of games in the NHL,but he could've been great in the NHL.What a great talent!In the history of Erie,Pa. hockey,Bill McDougall is the best player ever!

Paul Mac Donald the current President of the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League is doing the play by play. He is being assisted by the late John Jr. Hanna a former NHL Player . His son John JR.(III) is now an Assistant Coach with the Screaming Eagles.

I was actually there when this happened...I was in Section 10, Row I, Seat 9; my dad sat next to me in Seat 10.
