Adriana and the princess have exchanged insults and have discovered that each other is the rival for Paurizio's love. Adriana has been engaged to recite something at the Boullio's party and when asked, the princess suggest that she recited the monologue from The Abandoned Adriana. The prince suggests Phaedra instead and Adriana recited this monologue in which Phaedra admits her adulterous feelings. I'll post the text next

One more example of Caballe's incredible versatility. Who would think from seeing and hearing this that she's also one of the greatest exponents of bel canto! Powerful, directly from the gut performance.
