@davidtroub Yes, increasing the amount of flash powder will increase the decibel very little, but it will really increase echo and soundwave (my experience) ..
It's the way you contain the flash powder that will increase the bang :P

david, above the BP rocket engine, place some loose BP, then take your FP firecracker, with confined FP and then make the fuse go down into the loose BP (; thats the way i do it with my commecial rockets :P i know i spelled that wrong.. im just lazy ^^

Maybe, but
to make it louder, i think i need to think about the container of the flash powder, rather than the amount right now. I've had 0.5 G firecrackers of mine with a bang as big as a 5G, as i used more paper on the 0.5

The rocket was made of that, yes. However the salute was flash powder.
