Udvar-Hazy is an extension to the original Air and Space Museum. The original museum is on the Mall in Washington; Udvar-Hazy is several miles to the west in Chantilly, Virginia next to Dulles Airport. So you may have to consider geography in choosing one museum over the other.

I'm just visting this country and I want to know which museum is better,the national air museum in DC,o the Udvar Hazy Center,I want

to know which is better and why.Can some body please tell me?????????

The original museum does have more historic air and spacecraft, including Apollo 11, the Wright Flyer, The Bell X-1 and many others. Udvar-Hazy has what you saw in my video. I suppose if I had only one chance to see just one of the two museums, I would go with the original museum on the Mall. But that's just me.

awesome video... i havent been there since 2006 myself. I would go from walter reed army medical center to get there. Retired Army HOOAH.... nice shot on the sr-71 blackbird and the enola gay... best aircrafts ever given to the us to be used. once and a lifetime opportunity and i lived to see them... thanks for the memories
