In 1956 ukulele ace George Formby took part in top secret drug tests. The results were filmed for a proposed Elstree Comedy entitled "Why DO You Look Like A Donkey Our Vera?".
It was a step too far for the cheeky chappie from Barnsley - the movie was scrapped and Formby never spoke of it again.... TURNED OUT STRANGE AGAIN MOTHER...

Nice try. The Noel Coward version of "Rehab" has set the bar pretty high, though. I can't pass this on to my George Formby fan friend because it's not up to snuff. It's too scary. It's missing the ease of his phrasing, his innocent delivery. Would've been funnier with some of that.

Oh Mother! Yes that's a great song but the video is a bit scary. Looks as if "George" is crunching those electric bees.
