  • Yes you should always use proper terminal caps to group the wires. When in doubt it's always white to white, black to black.

Make sure not to use a cap that's too large for the wires you are joining otherwise it'll come loose easily.

And yes most lights do have a ground wire and if it does just ground it to the metal box. If it doesn't dont loose sleep over it.

  • Do I need the electrical joiners to group the wires?

  • Please some one advice me: I am having two electronic ballast tubelights that are controlled by one switch. Now, one of them is always getting short circuit. I have replaced 4 of these within one year, none of them lasting more than a month - cause I dont even go to that room regularly. What is the problem? Everything works well for 10-15 days and then it gets short. The wiring is perfect... Is it because of the 2-way system? I'd love to have some help from any of you experts..Thank you !

  • I just wish she could've spoken heaps faster

  • Most lights DO have ground wires. Some don't. But most of them do because of the metal is conductive to electric.

  • @IvanDirtysouth92

actually the brown earth wire is not always used in lighting and when it is there it is used as a safety wire and in no way effects the workings of the light or flow of electricity

  • this vid sucks

  • the box would be grounded
