  • Howard referred to himself as "how-weird" on WNBC in the early 80s.

  • Shows how cutting edge he would be just to be Howard and be the radio genius we all know he is.

  • Haahahahaha holy shit! That's some harsh shit. Howard is the man. I wish we had radio like this over here.

  • i love howard's honesty! very cool. even though its a sensitive subject, it was probably good for howard to get this off his chest!

  • @mybalzurchin True. Laughter is the best of medicine, and you need medicine most where there is the most pain. Laughing at your own trauma, (probably not anyone else's,) makes it easier to bear. Either way the kid is dead; so you can be miserable and screw up the part of of your life still available, or you can laugh and move on. And why would Alison be upset hearing this? This was Howard making fun of Howard. It had nothing to do with Alison. I never got that part of the movie.

  • I remember listening to this live when I lived in DC. Wow.

  • I hate the highest-rated comment. This bit is the best example of what makes him great. There is no line, no right & wrong, only honesty. If he kept it a secret, he'd be like every other guy walking down the street, not Howard Stern.

  • @dynomike80 It's not supposed to be, it's just Howards way of dealing with his personal tragedy the way he always has, talking about it on the radio.

  • so is he actually upset or its all a bit

  • DEFINATLY CLOSE TO HOW THEY DEPICTED IT ON PRIVATE PARTS
