Becoming a Geisha- Makeup anyone can do

this is a simple makeup how-to video that shows you the easy way to use makeup to look like a geisha (not a real geisha). This is just regular makeup you can get anywhere and you can use any kind you like. I hope this helps everyone out on halloween or just anytime!

THIS IS NOT ACCURATE TO HOW GEISHA AND MAIKO DO THEIR MAKEUP OR HAIR.

this video is just for fun, it takes years to master how to really apply makeup like a geisha accuratly. I just did this video for fun, so I'm not trying to say I know everything or its correct, because its not. This is totally for cosplay or halloween. Anyway, take it with a grain of salt and enjoy. Thanks so much.

I know its a bad angle, this is my first video and it took forever... so I hope even though its fast paced and kinda blotchy you can all get a little something out of it. Good luck! My next one will be better, promise! ;)

I dont mean to be mean but it really wrong! You didnt mix it up by putting on mascara, alot of maiko use it! They usually use red on there eye brows and the whits face paint wasnt white enought and you forgot to do your neck! That wid has nothing in common with a maiko or geiko's hair apart from its black! They put little bright red bits in the side of there eye not pink! and pink blush around their forehead! And what sakura are you talking about in the little information part?

I'm not a maiko or have any maiko or geisha training at home. I did this video to show people how to make a 'fake' geisha costume for halloween. I understand your comments, and I have studied geisha culture but I just did this video for fun... the Sakura thing was the name of a song. Anyway, it was just for fun, I know its not accurate, its not supposed to be. so please dont be offended. The wig is bad, its an anime wig, I know. I'll add something to the sidebar to clear things up. Thanks!

a transluscent powder would have set the makeup and gave it the ultra smooth painted look you were looking for... thx for the video it's a good base to start with!
