Why would you even think that my daily driver is my 1400 HP Vette? You know what is? A 400 HP Dodge Ram HEMI that get's 13 mpg. I run it rich just to pollute the air and I kill squirrels on a daily basis just for GP.

so very true. Wasting gas vandalizing other vehicles. Very nice, your point will be ignored. I just put 24s on my big heavy SUV so I could burn more gas, just for you guys!

Unless you know about this campaign I don't think these stickers get their point across. I saw this sticker on an F350 and thought that the guy who owns it has a sense of humour.
I think when I get my new Tundra I'm going to get one of these stickers for it.

putting a sticker on my SUV is a quick way to be on the business end of my .38 special.

People are too brainwashed. The TV tells them how to think. Right now the TV says, "Man is causing global warming," and people say, "OK." Then someone with a working brain comes along asks, "how?" The TV says, "Simple, its the green house gasses man creates." And once again the masses say, "Oh, OK." Then that guy with the working brain asks, "Wait, isn't it true that man only accounts for a very small single digit % of green house gasses?" The TV says nothing, it doesn't want to hear the truth.

Thank you for proving my point that you eco-elitists are uneducated. The hurricanes are NOT being made bigger and stronger by humanity, and that has never been any proof otherwise. Try getting educated. But your Save Our Wetlands and other eco-elitist, misanthropic organizations are 100% directly responsible for the loss of lives and property as a result of Katrina. Get educated. Public transport failed the poor and infirm, and SOW enabled many poor to die. Private cars rule, buses fail.
-
katrina was a hurricane caused by global climatic processes, ones that (capitalist) humanity is interfering with to make such events far more devastating and frequent in the future. i don't see how it's 'eco-elitist' to say that the force contributing to climate change should be stopped, given how much people will suffer in the future because of the consequences of such. my position is in fact far more egalitarian than yours.
secondly, to repeat, i don't eat soy or consume it in any way.
-
Yes, the leftist vegans are HUGE, MAJOR contributors to ecological decline. However, they are too blinded by their self-imposed delusions of grandeur to see what they do. Katrina? The loss of life and most property can be blamed squarely on the eco-elitists. Do some research, sweety. Tell me, where does your soy come from exactly? Go on, tell me. I know where it comes from, and who is starving as a result of it, and the destruction to the environment. Monoculture agriculture, anyone?

i do know what you're talking about; i'm rather aware of the problem of e-waste being dumped on poor countries. i'm also aware of the problem of coltan and for that reason have not replaced either my computer or cell phone for nearly 6 years.
but really, is it the leftist vegan who's to be questioned regarding his contribution to ecological decline? how does this not apply more to you, or to many others in the west?
-
I highly suggest you get off the computer. The computer you are using will one day filth up a poor country. Don't know what I am talking about? Do some research. Also, where are you getting YOUR electricity from? And another also, either you walk barefoot, or you ride a bike while wearing shoes with rubber soles. That bike and those shoes both require oil. So which is it? Are you a bare-foot hippie, or a planet destroying bike rider?

All these leftists whining and crying for high MPG resulted in lighter and deadlier cars. There doesn't have to be any other car out there on the road. Studies have shown that in single car crashes, these little high milers are going to kill you a lot more often than say, my 1978 Cutlass. So what now? Now the leftist whiners are crying for safer cars! You can't have both. YOu either have safe low mpg, or deadly high mpg. So they can put that in their hookah and smoke it!
-
your response is pretty stupid. i don't drink lattes, wear hemp, or drive at all. nor do i eat soy or use bio-fuels, or advocate that anyone else do either.
as a more general point, though, i can't deny that my life in the west is complicit with the suffering of the poor, but that's precisely why i advocate radical change at all levels--instead of cravenly defending the destructiveness of the status quo, as you seem to do.
Placing stickers on someone's vehicle without their explicit permission is ILLEGAL.
I certainly hope that anyone doing such things is prosecuted to the fullest extent that the law allows.
I also hope that one of the SUV owners catches you in the act and proceeds to give you a much-deserved beating.

I guess it might seem unfair to tag a gas guzzler, after all they are now paying $100 to fill up their tank and many may consider that punishment enough. However considering all the damage they do to the environment, they should be lucky they get away with only a removable bumper sticker on their gas hog.
As for the beating, you sound like the kind of person who beats your kids when they act like kids. Or when your in a bad mood. I've met people like you before. In the military.

Why does people allways blame SUV`s? My small car also need fuel, in my case petrol/gasoline. Who got the idea that SUV´s are the only car that use petrol?
KaviarMannen 4 years ago
OK, let's do our abc's. Getting 30 mpg (miles per gallon) is a lot better than getting 15 mpg. If everybody driving a SUV got 30 mpg instead of the 15 mpg they get driving their unnecessary SUV or pick-up truck, we wouldn't be importing oil from the Arabs who use some of that money to fund terrorists. There would also be a few hundred million less tons of CO2 being spewed into the air. You've heard of global warming?
mantid22 4 years ago
Well alright SUV´s are worse because they are bigger, but never the less almost every car is bad for the enviroment. So i think you should put stickers on every car. Except maybee biodiesel and electric cars since they are rather good.
About the CO2 im no sure what to think. I have heard so much of the global warming thing being false. And also something about global cooling.
KaviarMannen 4 years ago
Yes every car causes environmental problems and everyone should probably stick a bumper sticker on their car unless it is biodiesel or electric. As far as global warming being false, almost every scientist (except the ones working for the oil companies) agrees that human generated greenhouse gasses are warming the planet. If 9 doctors out of 10 said your kid had a fatal disease and needed a particular medicine to survive would you take their advise or listen to the one doctor who disagreed?
