Maria does try drop shots quite often now, and you can see how she's trying to come to the net more. But anyway, with the success she's had "just pounding the ball", who would blame her for not bothering to change her game?
She's trying to anyway, she is adding more variety but it's not her forte, just give her time to become a more rounded player, she's still young and got time to do so.

uhm i think Maria Sharapova should be considered a BIG name! She has great game! She is former #1 and proved to be a BIG PLAYERS, she won Grand Slam titles already! But the only problem is her fitness, same as the williams sister!

Not only US girls, but imagine if there was another Anna Kournikova or a British/ Oz/ French Top 10 Girl this would sooo help the sports image esp during the Grand Slams. It would def pump in more interest. Again the easy names always help with the general public to remember them. Hope this doesnt offend anyone - its not meant to!!
