Here is my Chauvet Elan Review. It's a good light, and can be had for a good price, if you look hard enough :) Also look at my Mystic LED review, and the Mystic LED vs. Chauvet Elan video.

  • dude, your review is good but I can barely hear anything, you sound like mumbling! not clear at all jeez...very annoying to listen to it, make another one with clearer sound....

  • If it's very annoying to listen to, then don't listen to it. I'm not going to buy the light again, get a more expensive video camera, and do a whole new video for your viewing pleasure...LOL. I didn't get paid to do the review, and you are not paying me to watch it, so it is what it is...LOL.

  • Dude you would be the perfect announcer for a golf outing.

  • LOL... you're probably right...

  • @sleeperawaken36 sounds fine to me!!

  • Name of the song?

  • Cool... Thanks for Taking the time to help figure out what I just Bought!! Thanks-Allison

  • that explains a lot, i was wondering the same thing about my colorsplash jr's, a newer version did not have a protective covering over the diodes.

  • Hey, that's good information to have! I was wondering if perhaps it was just habit from the designers to have a fan there...hehe... but that does make sense. That should make the Elan owners feel pretty good about their fixture :) Reliability is always important :)

  • The reason that this LED fixture has a fan is to keep the back side of the die as cool as possible to extend the life of the lights in the fixture. By simply keeping the die 10 degrees cooler at operation temps you can extend the life of the led's by as much as 40%.

  • HA! Yeah, the baby you hear is the one I'm holding in my right arm, while I was taking video with my left hand...hehe... The two older ones were dancing under the light a little, or singing on the couch, they love papa's lights :) I may post a scratch video the the youngest one on one of my decks...LOL :)
