One of my guild mates ask if I would record and upload a video showing Age of Conan running at max settings using DirectX 10 and my gaming PC's stats+setup.

So, here it is :-)

Video recorded & edited on 2010.9.13. SLi setup @ Max Settings & 16x AA using DirectX 10. Average FPS: 71.4 to 84.3 in an open, non-combat environment. Note, I do not have the best broadband internet connection so there are a few minor lag moments in the video which does however lower my FPS at times.

Gaming Rig Stats:

Windows 7 64-Bit OS
2x Seagate 1.5TB @ 32MB Cache
1x Seagate 1TB @ 32MB Cache
12GBs Corsair XMS3 DDR3
EVGA X58 SLi Mobo
EVGA GTX 280 x2 in SLi
SB Fatality Xtreme Gamer 5.1
Logitech G13 Advanced Gameboard
Logitech G9 Laser Mouse
Logitech Illuminated Keyboard
CoolerMaster SPM 1000Watt PSU
CoolerMaster HAF 932 Full Tower

I listed 3 hard drives but only use one for gaming. The other drives (and the use of 12GBs of ram) are used for video and photo editing plus storage.

  • @MrRiku451 why? the 280 is one of the strongest dx10 cards:P

  • Im surprised the 280's could run it at all.

  • @LittleD292 Best.

  • Are you happy with the game ?

  • ....Wait, Age of Conan has Roleplay? :P

  • Well it ran smooth until i put it in DX10 lol I just assumed it was DX10 by default.

  • OMG THAT IS NIIIIIIIIICE GRAPHIC!!!!!!!

  • I run this game MAXED out & smooth in 720p HD on my 6 year old dell dimention 8400 Intel p4/ht 3.2gh, 4gb-ddr2, EVGA GT220/1gb-ddr3, 160gb seagate hd, 400w psu, lmao =P Best looking mmo i have played, the new final fantasy looks awsome but I doubt my pc will run it smotthly lol.

  • @SeanGrenade

It was built well over a year ago and pretty much ran me close to $3,400 USD. Most components were purchased over a 3 month period if my memory serves me correctly. It took a few months to save up and get everything I wanted.

  • How much did a system like that cost you? I would say minus 2 drives, mouse, keyboard etc.
