  • How old is this picture disc? I had the original vinyl record but I do not recall the picture on the record. It was black.

  • I think this picture disc became available in 1978, they did not sell very well because of quality issues.

  • I have the same one, but never listen to it.

  • @PostToastie better rethink your comment here and check ebay my friend

  • @PostToastie Yes, they don't cost a lot of money but to some of us like me it's worth listening because vinyl rules!

  • Yeah, if they'd only use pics sandwiched between clear vinyl, they'd sound great. But, the way the American's do it, it's the same as getting a record on the back of a cereal box! You hear just as much paper or cardboard as you do music.

  • There's at least two videos of it here already.

  • I bought a copy of the picture-disc when it first came out in `78 and it sounded horrible and skipped all over the place. When I took a good look at the vinyl, it looked like they didn't use enough of it, like there were very tiny bits of vinyl missing. Can't understand why American record companies can't do what the Brit's do with pic-discs: put the pics together back to back and cover them with equal amounts of clear vinyl! No black vinyl between the pictures.

  • Does it also have the original pink sleeve? Also, depending on which varioation of the label was used, it could be worth anywhere from $40.00 to $250.00.

  • Either that, or keep it

  • No, he should sell it. There`s high demand for Sgt. Peppers records today, and thwe price will only go up. Don`t call people dumbasses!

  • This is great! an awesome collectable for all Beatles fans!
