King County Sheriff, Guardian One

Close to midnight on Saturday (January 20, 2006 in Washington), Guardian One flew back to Seattle, seen here passing over Eastgate, after helping Southeast King County Sheriffs in a pursuit. More specifically, Guardian One was helping find two black males that bailed from their vehicle in a wooded residential area (SE KC) after a short car chase. I believe that a King County Sheriff tried to pull over the vehicle (unknown exactly why or where), they refused, and threw something out of the window during the car chase. As I said before, the suspects then bailed. The air was closed over police radio (meaning that only information having to do with this case and/or emergency information was discussed over the air). Police set up a perimeter and with the help of a K9 unit got the driver in custody. I guess they didn't care about the passenger because the search was immediately called off after that and Guardian One was cleared. This could have been because the suspected driver gave the identity of the passenger to authorities.

Anyways . . . Guardian One is a police helicopter in King County (of Western Washington) and helps with things like: giving air support in car chases, finding suspects, and sometimes in search and rescue missions. The chopper is on call 24/7. Personally, Guardian One is pretty cool: it's really loud, has a bright spotlight, and flashes red and blue strobes . . . awesome!
