"Brave New World...I hope you like it."

So, my first non GA video. And it's important to me. I love the song and the movie. And although they don't deal with the same, they both have this motive of a person breaking out. I think it fits very well.

The title "Brave New World...I hope you like it" is a(n almost) line from Buffy. Remember the episode where Cordelia wishes that Buffy never came to Sunnydale? And Anyanka says "Brave New World. I hope she likes it." I've always loved that line. And the episode. But that's way beyond topic, sorry.

The song is "Windowsill" by the wonderful band Arcade Fire. I love their songs and lyrics.

Anyway, I hope it's not too depressing. I mean the movie ends kind of good, but reality looks a litle bit different...

The movie Equilibirum is a far better representation of the book Brave New World than the movie Brave New World...lol

There's a movie to the book? I didn't know :o Since I don't know it I can't really compare, but I do think that the movie represents the theme of the book very well (though I have to admit that, when I gave this video a title, I thought about a Buffy episode, and Willow says to/asks Cordelia 'Brave new world. I hope you like it'; so yeah, that'S the story behind the title :p)

You did a really great job making this. When most people make music videos combining, ya know, songs with television or movie clips, they usually screw up and put in tons a vocals from the visual clips they're using, which in turn screw everything up, 'cause ya can't hear anything. You got it right, though. You put in just enough audio from Equilibrium. I especially like the beginning of the song: "WHY ARE YOU ALIVE?!"

eh just saying, i read it alongside a clockwork orange and it didn't even compare. but hey we all have different tastes in our dystopias xD

book was decent??? Lol... I mean its one of the best dystopia xx century has ever witnessed, along side with of course George Orwell's 1984 and besides it has nice world system ("The World State"). It could had more character development, but then the people's interest would simply get lost, and wouldn't care so much about the whole comprehension of the society, how it operates and philosophical concepts it wants us readers to think about.
