  • this was the movie that made me watch nearly all the classics from the 30s and 40s

    best ever!!!

i can't believe they thought it was necessary to make a remake no one who saw the original will ever watch

  • First of all I think Capra's films gave us something to shoot for and don't necessarily represent the time period as it was. They were meant to give people hope and make them think about how they could improve this world through their own actions. Having seen a lot of films old and new though, I would have to say that 80% of films made today are pure garbage presenting pure vileness for morals. It seems to take old folks like Eastwood, Spielberg, Lucas, and a few others to make a good movie now.

  • @happyiswhathappydoes that wonderful world was also made by human beings , moved by the same desire of fame/lifestyle/respect/validation as nowadays actors . Only difference are pressure and traps are even more numerous now making them fail more and media cover is even more thorough now than back then exposing their failure all the more . george clooney , pierce brosnan , hugh jackman , etc... are every bit as good as their elders . You re dellusioning yourself .

  • @happyiswhathappydoes Couldn't agree more. Hollywood and thus society with it ... are utter trash compared to this greatness.

  • I could have done without the voiceovers. Otherwise, great.

  • Takito144, stop talking nonsense!

  • Very well chosen sequences.
