It looks like an old friend--or a very close relation to--came back to Youtube, at least for a while. I'm glad to see this older style of the index page (not the channel page, as I mistakenly said) come back to Youtube.

  • @leerey14 It was here and then it was gone. I didn't do anything in particular to get it.

  • well it looks like its only in the safari browser cause most all other browsers dont have that old style they have the new style

  • Idk how ur is working I have the old layout patch that has been working for months now it isnt, had the patch for firefox and chrome, and both patches are not working anymore, Hate the new page!

  • I seen that a few weeks ago uxwbill went back to the old style then the next day back to crap but I must admit it is growing on me the new layout that is but i do miss the one your showing here

  • @uxwbill hmmm. im surprised microsoft was actually able to make a decent security software as of the big failure that defender was. is it free or you have to pay? and the free program i use in Avira Home Free, it is extremely light when idle, has realtime protection and a very thorough scan, AVG uses more than three times the resource for idle and double during a scan, thats why i use Avira now for a free anti virus, but i'd like to compare it to microsoft essensals with what im hearing hear

  • @joeyf504327 No, it is not. The Microsoft Security Essentials program has received good reviews, and believe it or not, is actually quite good. You don't have to use it if don't want to, but don't blow it off as a joke, either.

  • @BonhommeRichard91 I must admit my old machine had major issue with the commenting section, but my new one has no issues whatsoever.

  • I still get the crappy new YT home page, too.

At least I was able to "downgrade" my channel page to the old one... definitely much better suited to my kind of usage pattern. (I wound up here shortly thereafter...) The new one isn't *bad* per se, it merely seems much better suited to "publishing" channels than to ordinary users. Not being able to access favorites definitely is a killer though.

  • @uxwbill Chrome displays it. its not about the browser

  • @pcgod8 i haven't actually used a full linux for my self but the others i have worked with and used work very well, are very fast, and light and resorces. the only problem i have had is getting alll my drivers to work 100%
