/Truth/ is all how you look at it. I love persuasive essays for that very reason.
Anyways, the control how you get the info so everyone has a semi-fair chance at getting the same level of info. It was easier to control the sources before the net...

@kiya46107 - the English language even at GCSE level is a wonderful thing, so good luck with the essays. controlling how a student goes about finding info is not teaching and smacks of fashism, truth is there wont ever be a tell all, end all info resource because its just a device to use, quicken or enrichen/enlighten your work.
