  • @promdom they are, by weight. And they have been recorded to get as long as reticulated pythons, although they usually don't. So the title for the 'worlds largest snake' is unspecified really.

  • you idiot, anacondas ARE NOT the largest snake

  • I was watching Skyrim, how'd I get here

  • @Incognito2803 The farmer said it was 25 ft but being in the jungle we didn't have a tape measure. As Mike Corbell points out you can't see the full length of the snake - I am on the far right and the tail (obscured) came down to around just beneath my hips. In the flesh it looked truly enormous - even the end part kept on constricting me and that felt quite scary! We regret it now - a beautiful animal and no way to treat it but curiosity & fascination got the better of us.

  • @silandthemagpie anacondas ARE found in rainforests aswell as lowlands i found 3 in brazill 2007 while on a expedition looking for boa constrictors. however you are kind of correct as they are more populated in plains and swamped areas. i spent 3 months in south america brazil, surinam and venezuela. the biggest we found was only a 16ft female. we also found 2 males that were around 7-8ft in length

  • @silandthemagpie

You should do some more reseach as there are at least as many Anacondas living in rain forests. It is speculated that the large specimens are found in rain forest enviroments, contrary to the smaller ones living in the savanas.

I want this snake to be 25 feet as much as you do, but seeing the picture, I really don't think the snake is much longer than 19 feet.

  • @Incognito2803 The anaconda being held up in the air by six men at 1:02 into the clip is said to be 25ft and I don't think that it's an exaggeration. We don't see the full length of the snake. We see from the head to the tail area, but don't see the full tail area. And the snake is not perfectly flat or stretched out. That causes curving, say, that can possibly cause the snake to seem less long than it is, to some people anyway. The snake is surely 25ft, unless it's actually longer, imo.

  • I've heard and read that anacondas can grow to over 30ft and think to recall one having measured 36ft. Better find someplace else to be when these snakes become massive and are hungry.
