I am a Brown Beret & I have to clear up that we are by no means paramilitary. We are a militant chicano nationalist organization. Our military attire reflects that but we are unarmed; symbolically we stand as a military for our community & like any military-stand ready in defense. I won't get into this "reconquista" stuff, but personally I do not support the ideal as it stands. I am of the White race & Hispanic ethnicity
