  • Well, if there ever was a time for some park chain or millionaire entrepreneur to resurrect MSAP, it would be now. Starliner is up for sale again. Wouldn't it be a cool homecoming for the old girl if Miracle Strip were to re-open, with Starliner back where she used to be.

  • why is it for sale? is that park closing also or do they just want to get rid of it?

  • Excellent video--atmospheric and evocative. I'd give anything to have the old PCB back again.

  • I shot it really quick with a digital camera, Ive since picked up a digital video camera so I hope I get a chance to get back there, I'll make a legitimate video.

  • it closed officially in Sept 2004.

  • @burnlikestars1 Some morons wanted to put condos there. It never happened and never will.

  • I rember going to panama in 02 I was just out of 6 th grade we stayed right down the roud from there it is sad it was in a good spot

  • @seadog1988 yep. your right. i remember also in the 70's my father told me ill appreciate Johnson's Beach being partly made into a national sea shore and he has been so right. i could not believe all the condos that are obstructing a once pristine beach. sad........

  • What happend to it

  • @burnlikestars1 Cypress Gardens closed and was bought out by LegoLand. The decided to keep the Triple Hurricane, but not the Starliner. The Starliner has been officially bought by Miracle Strip @ Pier Park and they are working to have it brought back and rebuilt, but on a new site, hopefully where they put up the other former rides. Check out their Facebook page for more details.

  • I spent alot of time here in the summers as a kid, hard to beleive its gone.

  • I'm so sad that it closed down. So many of my childhood memories were the from the Summers I spent at the Miracle Strip! Thank you for posting.

  • Its aat Pier Park now good i missed it the funnest but now i guess we can go 2 Alabama Adventure and Six Flags in Georgia and of course Alabama and more.

  • one of the worst parks ever. owner was a tightwad that overworked and underpaid his employees (i put up with the crap for one summer - great way to meet and bang chicks - but that was about it). was land-locked, could never get bigger.
