we had a ref one time that just sat in a chair at center court, he had to be like 400 lbs

thats cute and all, but as an official and as an AAU coach, I'd be pissed if he reffed one of my games...wow. with the lack of mechanics used, I would have to wonder if he knows what he is doing...

Kind of tough to get mad at a guy when he's having so much fun and making the game fun for the kids.

It's good he's enjoying what he's doing and the entertainment factor is there for some, however keep him away from games I'm at. Seen this before and I'd rather a ref call a good game than to be a clown. All refs should be running with the play, not standing. If you can't run, hang it up.

@CLosinVa It was at an all star showcase for 4th and 5th graders. Only one ref on the floor.
