It is induction, and yes with the proper settings it can still levitate long ennough to cool down to solid phase before touching the cold crucible :)

what is heating it?
induction?
eddy currents?
Must it heat while levitating, or can it also be levitated without heating - allowing it to cool down without touching the copper crucible? That would be handy.
