Dr. Silber explains endometriosis and an alternative to receiving a hysterectomy. An incision is made into the adenomyosis mass directly down to the endometrial cavity. The mass is removed, and the endometrial cavity is reconstructed.
@paloloviking Hi Kimberly. I also have adenomyosis and am also researching ways of saving my uterus. I also have not yet had a child. I am currently in constant, extreme pain and am planning surgery for the near future. Have you flown out for a consultation, and/or have you found any hopeful help? I hope all is well with you. - Keisha
I wish I had seen this a year ago. I had severe adeno and endo. I was told my my first and second opinions that, with the severity of both illnesses, I had no choice but to have a hysterectomy. My doctor told me that when he looked inside it was hard to tell what was what. Endo had attached my uterus to my rectal muscle. It had also wrapped around both ovaries. The adeno had almost puntured my uterus in five areas.
I came across this video and it gave me renewed hope. I have severe adenomyosis and would like to try ANYTHING to save my uterus so I can have a child. I may be undergoing an ablation in the very near future. I will be sending this video to my physician. If anything, my husband and I would consider flying out to Missouri for a consultation. This may be my last hope of saving my uterus.
