  • I never said Mexico never had heroes. But, I know that the Alamo defenders were only 185. You said 250.

And I think the Mexican army was about 1,800 more like. Mainly because 400-600 died at the Alamo, and at the Battle of Goliad, about 5 were lost, and at the battle of San jacquito, there were 1,300.

  • @Heavycavalry34 Yeah, I know this now but I made this video like.... a year ago or so? I had no idea how many there were lol I thought there were like 300 Americans and 400 Mexicans, I should probly re-make this video...

  • shouldn't there be a shitload more "spanish/mexicans"?? wasn't the alamo garrison outnumbered??

  • @jedisanmoyo

Well, there were only 185 Americans, they have records, unless you count women, children and slaves who did not fight at all as defenders. And Santa Anna probably did not have 6,000 troops, but he did have a lot one way or another. Any anyways, 250 vs 1500 is still 6 to 1. It still is outnumbered.

Another note, just because you are a historian of the nation that lost does not make you right. Then the French could say there were only 10 French soldiers at Waterloo.

    I rest my case.

  • my god yaw better be from Texas if you talk about the Alamo I'm not talking about moved to Texas I'm talking lived in your whole life 185 Texans they were Americans but they were called Texans about 6,000 Mexicans they killed 600 to 1,800 and i thought the Mexican army was good i don't see how they beat Spain

  • @Heavycavalry34 Correct to a point. Mexican army probably numbered 3000-4000 total, but Santa Anna only used 1600-1800 in the final assault and kept the remaining in reserves if he needed them. In all, Mex army most likely had 600 or so casulties (although I don't believe exact records were kept). Many of these soldiers died in the days after the battle due to lack of decent medical care. But as Santa Anna said, "How much more are these soldiers than chickens?' He just wanted a victory..

  • @haibane13 thanks for the info. so its clear now.

  • @Heavycavalry34 When San Antonio was occupied by Mexican forces their strength was 1,500 , by the time of the battle of the Alamo the army had been reinforced to a number of about 5,500 . The force used in the assault was 1,800 . Santa Anna divided his forces leaving most of it (3,600 troops) at San Bernard river taking with him 1,300 troops .

  • @fst824 If anything it should be Spain against USA

  • @Heavycavalry34 there were 183 Texans and 2000 Mexicans

  • @hi2321 should be 2000

  • I've been to San jacento and why is it Russia against USA

  • lol Jedisanmoyo....Since when did War become about whats fair and unfair? Christ what a statement, It all boils down to, which side is more capable of achieving victory. Fairness (as stupid as it was) went out the window along with the column fire tactics of the revolutionary war.

  • What army did u use because the mexican army isnt in empire total war
