Bagpuss left the world of TV in the late 1970's to pursue an alternative career running a medium sized agricultural supply chain.

Unfortunately in 1987 Bagpuss succumbed to temptation and bought a large stolen consignment (World record 195,000 tons) of mixed poultry grit. The judge at Bagpuss trial was mindful of the serious nature of his crime and jailed Bagpuss and co defendant Rupert "The" Bear to serve a minimum 35 years each.

Bagpuss was supposed to have been orange, but they got the wrong colour of wool in the studio by mistake so they ran with it and the pink cat was born :D

Not quite. He said he didn't want a CGI version of Bagpuss. And I have to agree.

There is something very tactile about stop motion animation. CGI looks like CGI - even if it is very good.
