Licitra can sing some arias decently (like this one) and on others he just doesn't cut it. To be speaking of Licitra as one of todays opera elites just goes to show how far down the opera world has gone in recent years.

@stevevandien Jonas Kaufmann sings the face clean off of this passage.  The clips at the MET are better quality, though the clips of his berlin performance are sweet too.
