This **THE REAL** short clip is from the DVD which includes behind the scenes in Charlie Chaplin's film 'The Circus'. Attending the premiere at Manns Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, CA - the scene shows a large woman (or man), dressed in black and a hat, talking into something that only be described as a mobile phone device or possibly a walkie-talkie. Remember this is from 1928.

@Leatherwreck But most people wouldn't understand the pure physicls of it as you have explained it. It is far easier for a less educated mind to actually believe this person is talking into a hearing aid of which there are no known designes of that size/shape. Maybe she is holding her pet turtle to her ear and talking into it. Whatever the reason a person standing relatively alone in 1928 and talking into a object held to her ear it is certainly not time travelor a communication device.

By the time (if ever) we have time travel we'll already have perfected technologies such as invisibility cloaks and communications by thoughts, we wouldn't be carrying around a 2010's mobile communications device. It also likely we won't even look human as we know it.

If it was a phone how did it work, where are the satelites orbiting the earth to send back the signals and the antennas on the ground to transmit these signals or can machines time travel as well?
