Holy Mother Mira's Recitation of Savitri-Book-I,Canto-I.Only few lines have been choosen for recitation. The Original Poem Comprises of 23,000 lines which is more then homer's Illiad and Odyssey put together. The poem is regarded as even a greater work then Virgil Aeneid,Dantes Divine comedy or Gothe's Faust. It is more elevating poem describing the higher visions and sipritual experiences. Some experience might not be even related to ancient Vedic and upnishadik experiences. It is said to be a super poetry.A mighty height upto which a poerty can saunter. It describe the origin and future of creation. And the unexplored supermind and its descent of supramental forces on Earth. It also depicts the start of Immortal ginostic race upon earth. It speaks of the Non-Being Nirvanic state also.It comprises of experiences that can be only understood in higher realms of meditation.
Dear Friend! We certainly appreciate your effort... However, as The Mother's Devotees we must always remember that SHE ALWAYS WANTED US TO BE PERFECT in whatever we did. Also there were incidences when Sri Aurobindo had specifically informed devotees not to change or alter any character ( , . ; or letters - caps ) in any of his works and therefore i humbly request you to upload anything with at most perfection giving only things as SRI AUROBINDO and THE MOTHER had wanted it to be.

As noted this video erroneously shows the text containing "peered" rather than "...pierced through the dumb deeps". It should also be noted that the few lines spoken (recorded) don't start from the beginning of Canto 1, & are patched together with missing lines in-between them. The commentary at the end of this video which almost reads like an advertizement for Savitri, in my view detracts from the source material. I believe the video contains some of Mother's original artwork & organ music.

' An eye of deity pierced (or peered) through the dumb deeps'
So here, we have a problem,Savitri published in 1950, and Mother's reading, and Huta-ben's painting all three say 'pierced. The change to' peered' looking into.
