Hi, I'm Jack Werner, owner of Cattails Multimedia, and I would like to share some PowerPoint design tips with you.
Let's talk about using a color gradation for your powerpoint backgrounds.

When creating a blended background,
use two closely related colours.
Always choose colours in the same family.
The biggest mistake people make is using 2 completely opposite colours. Green and red for example.

So, stick to colours in the same family.
And even then, don't go from very light to extremely dark.
The secret is moderation.

In this case I've chosen a darker background to create a beautiful, rich look that separates this presentation from the pack. I suggest always using a top to bottom blend,
with the darkest colour at the bottom.

Here is what I mean.
I used 2 shades of blue for this example.
I used a navy blue for the top of the slide and the bottom is just slightly darker.
The results speak for themselves.

One more time....
This effect works well as long as you keep the colours in the same family and don't use extremes.
