If you thought Ernie was a bad doctor when he gave ol' buddy Bert a check-up, then you must have Cookamunga-Phobia!

From 1975.

  • Ernie should've told Dr. Monster (a.k.a.) Cookie Monster to leave his apple alone and let him have something else to eat.

  • Well, Ernie didn't have anything else to eat. He says all he has to eat is the apple. It's mentioned right at the beginning of the video =\

  • This is a great segment. The chenistry between Jim and Frank is just wonderful.

  • Yeah. As much as I love the Ernie and Bert sketches Jim and Frank did, The Ernie and Cookie Monster ones were truly special.

  • Did you see Cookie throw the apple into his mouth? Great puppetry by Frank...

  • cute

  • I'd make up the fact that Cookamungaphobia is a disease that's caused by eating a lot of cookies.

  • Pwned.

  • cookie monster is northern !!!

  • @loneshewolf74

    That sounds logical to me.

  • Jiggly bouncy eye XD mwhahahahaha 2:05

  • "Good heaven's! You're making my apple jump." I died right there. You can just tell when the puppeteers are speaking through, even when it's still in character.

  • Cookamongaphobia sounds like gibberish. Wonder what he really meant by that.

  • @grapebuy789 What do I owe you for this house call? An apple is a very low price. Most doctors will charge you $1000 for a private house call without insurance. Ernie got off easy!

  • AWESOME! This is a very OLD episode of Sesame Street. I recall this skit from 1979! Great to see it again! That's the best thing about Henson muppets. Like the Simpsons, they are not just part of our socierty, they are also ageless!
