Sean May had 26 points and the Tar Heels didn't allow a basket over the final, excruciating two-and-a-half minutes as they defeated Illinois, 75-70, on April 4. The win gave head coach Roy Williams, a 17-year coaching veteran, his first national championship.

@CAM8689 moving screens are very seldom used, called thus less often blown calls....they also dont and didnt impact a game the way the blatant fouls may committed did and do. you know that is true even if your Carolina Blue blood wont allow you to admit it....you KNOW its true

Sean May may as well had used brass knuckles...he committed 14 fouls, whistled for 1........wonder why he didnt use the shoulder to bowl his way to 12 of 13 shooting in the NBA???? seemed like a very successful technique
