  • Sorry, this music is from "WRATH OF DAIMAJIN". Anyway thank you for uploading this.

  • @yaliusat I'm afraid you're incorrect. For whatever reason, ADV released it as WRATH OF DAIMAJIN and placed it third in the set, but it is in fact the second film in the trilogy, RETURN OF DAIMAJIN. See Sci-Fi Japan's article "Daiei's Idol of Terror: DAIMAJIN, THE AVENGING GOD," third paragraph from the bottom.

  • @TylerEMartin So I've checked the article which you mentioned. And I understood why this misunderstanding had happened.

The author of the article wrote the title of the second film as THE RETURN OF MAJIN and the third as MAJIN STRIKES AGAIN, but with the ADV's "The Complete Daimajin", these are WRATH OF DAIMAJIN and RETURN OF DAIMAJIN.

And the music which you uploaded is definitely from the WRATH. As a Japanese I assure you it. There isn't any scenes of lakes in the third.

  • @yaliusat Having seen all three films and heard their respective scores, I can promise you, Japanese or not, that this music is indeed from RETURN OF DAIMAJIN--it's used when Daimajin crosses the lake, as indicated by the piece's title; the trumpet fudge at 2:33 is clearly audible in the film--see and hear for yourself. The same theme cycle was indeed used in WRATH, but the trombone featured here on main melody is replaced very noticeably by a tuba in the score for WRATH.

  • 大魔神はガンダムの半分くらいの大きさなのに、ゴジラ以上の巨大感と質量感がある。何故だろう。この重厚なメロディのせいだろうか。

  • Somehow the people who released the three-disc DVD set mixed up the titles and sequence of films. Nonetheless, I was surprised, having not seen the films since childhood, just how good the actually were.

  • Past Your bedtime

This movie came on a little baby 12 inch screen

    Blowing everyone away

  • ADV really screwed up the names of the Majin movies. I hope the eventual Mill Creek releases fix the names.

Anyway, thanks for the fantastic Ifukube music, Tyler!

  • wtf frankenstein vs baragon 0:24 - 0:40
