Beekeeping: Requeening Update 5

Want bees? http://BeeWilde.com - I think (hope, pray) I have a laying queen in hive 1. On Monday I didn't see any eggs or larvae but today, Friday, there are. I think patience is the lesson to be learned here. This hive may or may not make it. I am optimistic that it will. At any rate I am learning a lot about beekeeping and I believe I am becoming a better beekeeper.

@LDSPrepper What age is the comb in these videos it looks quite dark, are you simply extracting the honey or cutting comb when you harvest?

@permaculture7 The brood box frames are dark but the honey super combs are all new this year. I only extract the honey. I leave the comb so the bees don't have to spend resources on building new comb.

You need to stop switching the frames. By switching the frames your asking them to go gladiator on those eggs, and babies which doesn't benifit either hive.

I could see a couple eggs in the video, the uncapped larvae looked only maybe 4-5 days old.
