Yes Malmsteen did briefy play for Steeler, but he didn't go solo as you pointed out. He joined Graham Bonnet with Alcatrazz and recorded one studio and one live album before starting the Rising Force band. Alcatrazz made Malmsteen before Steve Vai took over for Alcatrazz's second Studio Album before becoming famous with DLR.

@angels77100 I never said i knew very much about him fuck face..i was just impressed at his playing..since he's been on my radar, i have only read about and seen him as a singer..i'm 42 yrs old and i know about STEELER, but i only know that Malmsteen was their guitarist for a bit before going solo..And i've followed Malmsteen since the beginning..excluding Steeler...don't disrespect people just cause they might be ignorant about one artist in metal...it shows what a real asshole you really are
