  • @2004dale it failed because of Gwen ... she was a spoiled character, and wanted to be a movie star..so one morning she asked Donald for the divorce..there's other minor details about Gwen's personality (according to close friends) but basically that's what happened. But Donnie got married again in 1956 with the lovely Gloria Noble and they where the perfect couple ever! ... untill his departure in 2003 T_T ( Donald had 1 daughter with Gwen, and with Gloria he had 3 more kids...)

  • @rungirlmgg i just read one of your comments about donald o'connor. his marriage went downhill? he seems so perfect on t.v. seems that he would have an everlasting marriage. do know why it failed? that shows character that he tried to save it and didn't initially just give up, but do you know the story behind what really happened? lol curious :)

  • @iLY0X8 Yes, this is Donald's wife, Gwen. This was around the time their marriage was going downhill. Donald tried to save it through including her in his show.

  • @MisterStereo It's true.

  • @insect1752 I just uploaded a Red Skelton show.

Can;t beat his comedic entertainment. So many shows, even movies today have based their dramatic, comedic "moments" on the work of past performances that worked.

Finally, it seems that these "reality" shows are quickly losing an audience !!

  • @MisterStereo Yes, true. And I don't watch reality shows or any TV either, so I am sort of judging by things I read online. But while I think the 'live' factor is important, I also think a likeability factor is important... I am an old fart, I'm sure, but I can't relate to 20-yr olds who have had more surgery than I will have in my lifetime. Some level of 'people like us' is necessary...
