Yeah I was out with a friend and it just kind of popped out at me and I started freaking out. My mom has it on vynal but to the dismay of both of us our record player doesn't work. Anyway yeah, that's so cool!
@oldbanjoman An Evening with John Denver has it! I just got that cd for Christmas for my mom (I've looked for it for years and finally found it at Barnes and Noble) Pickin the Sun Down blew me away!
I learned this one on banjo many, many years ago from John Sommer's picking on the John Denver Live album (long out of print). It's nice to hear somebody doing this much-overlooked but terrific song; you all did a GREAT job on it! Thanks for posting.
