I'm apalled at the lack of compassion from some of the comments found here.
The reason why these governments mught be despotic and brutal is because western governments have given them arms adn weaponry to use against those who oppose them.
The reason why they are so unstable and poevrty-stricken to begin with is because successive western empires from the French, to the British and to the American have raped their lands of their own natural resources.
Poverty is created from wealth

African; neither am I. True, there are dictaors. But the problems are deeper: colonialism, neocolonialism, European & U.S. slavery, feudalism, economic extraction, appropriation of surplus value, injustice, & more... Peace to you.

Where my violin mister, the fact is we are not responsible for the Africans sufferings, its their own despotic governments which are so corrupt resulting anarchy that is preventing the people for being able to settle down and start farming or building wealth through other means and earn a living.. If there is peace people can prosper,,, So dont make me feel guilty because of some dictators and despots far away, Im not an African Im American.

Actually, believe it or not, I got this powerpoint file from a "junk mail!" I have been thinking about it. The file was lost in my computer files. I really wanted to share with the world what I got from the "mass email." Finally, when I found it, I decided to put it online by making it into a video file & adding some music. Yeah, the message is very powerful. To the anonymous creator of the original file, kudos!
