Sounds like you need to get a program that uses USB or a camera with a firewire port. Tough luck there. What program do you use?

Just put "firewire" into google and do a search. It's a a media cable, faster than usb, slower than usb.2 and a world wide standard cable.

h mate me agein just wondering what camera you use. i bought a new cam but i cant gte it to work on my softwear

That depends on your kit. I.e. We use Frame Thief which needs a firewire connection, so any camera we use needs support that.

You need to find out what the specs are for your software and what video out ports your camera has. Go through the program preferences and help pages, and google for forums where people with your equipment might have the same problems/looking for the same things as you do. Chances are that all the info you need is already out there somewhere =)
