On the 8th of March 2007 class 47's 47805 and 47815 went to Long Marston MOD to bring out a train of Mk lll referbished coaches destined for Crewe.The clip shows the 2 locos on the marston branch and then on the return trip with the long train of coaches

  • Excellant livered coaches so 'British Rail' pity they couldn't get them all in the right formation being firsts one side of the buffet cars and seconds the other!!

  • Yes they are repaints to use on charters. Commissioned by a company called 'Cargo D'.

  • That cant be orginal paintwork surely, it looks too new. Must have been a specially commisioned repaint. Either way it really suits them to a t. Cheers!
