They are not efficient, but neither is a rusting diesel loco needing an oil of some source.
So, they figure that they =can= run their steamers on bagasse or other vegetable matter....

Do they have air brakes of the cars in Cuba or did they just not hook the trainline

they still use steam cause most of the time one steam engine is more powerful the 2 desiel units and their cheaper to run

Anything built newer than 1964. refrigerators, stoves, t.v.'s, Vacuum cleaners, cars, trucks even houses can't hold a candle to durable products built before that date.. Modern machines are built with planned obsolescence in mind so they constantly break and cost a lot to repair. They may be faster and less rude,but they're designed to break in such a way that you either can't fix it yourself, must pay a repair specialist or must buy a new one, usually within 7-8 years. Look at this workhorse!
