Eurovision Portugal 1991 - Dulce Pontes - Lusitana Paixão

"Lusitana paixão" ("Lusitanian passion") was the Portuguese entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1991, performed in Portuguese by Dulce.

The song is a ballad, with Dulce singing about the fado music of her native country. She sings that on the surface, this is a style of very sad music, with a focus on "longing" and "love from the past". As the song develops, though, she explains that this is a style of song which is perfect for her feelings, in that it "doesn't make me regret".

The song was performed twelfth on the night, following Ireland's Kim Jackson with "Could It Be That I'm In Love" and preceding Denmark's Anders Frandsen with "Lige der hvor hjertet slår". At the close of voting, it had received 62 points, placing 8th in a field of 22.

@bonitagata309 deves estar a ver uma eurovisao bem diferente de a que nos todos vemos, porque nos ulotimos anos temos passado sempre à final e ficamos em 13 15 e 18 lugar, isto entre 43 paises. so o ano passado 2011 nao passamos à final com os homens da luta, mas essa é facil de saber porque.
